Matrix Exceeds CSIA Audit Requirements
Matrix Technologies,

CSIA’s mission is to “advance the industry of control system integration”. To do so, CSIA has developed a Certified Member program that uses independent third-party auditors to evaluate how well members employ the CSIA-developed Best Practices and Benchmarks. After achieving Certified Member, the integrator must successfully pass the comprehensive audit every three years to retain the status.

Implementing the CSIA best practices and preparing for the audit process requires top-level commitment. The lessons learned during the audit preparation are valuable inputs to Matrix Technologies’ continuous improvement program. “The auditing process helps us to a deep dive into our procedures, policies, and processes that offer incremental value both internally to Matrix, and ultimately to our clients. Re-certifying helps ensure we are compliant with the latest guidance and have not regressed but rather continually improve,” commented David Blaida, CEO/President at Matrix.

The audit process covers ten areas critical to project success: general management; human resources; marketing, business development, and sales; financial management; project management; system development lifecycle; supporting activities; quality assurance; service and support; and information systems and cybersecurity. “We follow CSIA’s “Best Practices” guidelines and strive for continuous improvement in all of these areas each and every year. We are proud that our efforts are verified and recognized through this auditing process.”, said Terry DuMoulin, Director of the Industrial Systems Division.

This process has demonstrated Matrix Technologies’ commitment to employing processes of the highest caliber to meet and exceed stakeholder needs. Matrix is classified as a level one company with CSIA and successfully demonstrated continuous improvement by scoring higher than the level one benchmark set by CSIA.
