A Systematic Process to Improve Safety
Matrix Technologies uses a systematic approach and our Task Based Risk Assessment Cycle (TRAC) process to help the world’s largest industrial manufacturers address safety concerns.
TRAC is a process for improving a safety system using consensus safety standards for machinery. The TRAC process begins with the facilitation of a machine risk assessment to develop a safety mitigation plan and implementation cost estimates. Safety circuits and machine guarding are designed based on the mitigation plan. The installation and validation of the safety circuits and machine guarding insures that the machine safety system reduces the level of risk to the levels determined during the risk assessment.
Once installation and validation are complete and the machine is put back into service, it is important to maintain and improve the safety system for machine during its production life cycle.
