Matrix Technologies, Inc. has achieved Control System Integrator Association’s (CSIA) “Certified Member” status for the seventh time.
Matrix Technologies, Inc., one of the largest system integration and engineering firms in North America, is pleased to announce that we have achieved Control System Integrator Association’s (CSIA) “Certified Member” status for the seventh time.
Matrix Technologies is a single-source provider of automation, engineering, manufacturing operations management, and Engineer, Procure, and Construct (EPC) services to many of the world’s largest industrial manufacturers. The company’s customers include FORTUNE® 500 manufacturers of food, beverage, oil, gas, chemical, pharmaceutical/biotech, metals, aggregates, and consumer packaged goods products.
CSIA’s mission is to “advance the industry of control system integration.” To do so, CSIA has developed a Certified Member program that uses independent third-party auditors to evaluate how well members employ the CSIA-developed Best Practices and Benchmarks. After achieving Certified Member, the integrator must successfully pass the comprehensive audit every three years to retain the status. There are about 87 certified members of the 422 firms in CSIA.
Implementing the CSIA Best Practices and preparing for the audit process requires top-level commitment. The lessons learned during the audit preparation are valuable inputs to Matrix Technologies’ continuous improvement program. “Matrix Technologies has always been grounded in the knowledge that solid internal processes that are followed without fail lead to successful outcomes,” said David Blaida, President and CEO of Matrix. “Having CSIA Certification was a natural next step to confirm through third-party verification that our processes are solid and being followed consistently,” said Blaida.
The audit process covers ten areas critical to project success: general management; human resources; marketing, business development, and sales; financial management; project management; system development lifecycle; supporting activities; quality assurance; service and support; and information systems and cybersecurity. “A company that is certified to have strong processes in all areas of the organization, introduces the highest probability of overall project success,” said Tim Lemoine, Director of the Industrial Systems Division.
“Achieving a score that exceeds the benchmark will assure our clients that they are working with the “Best of the Best” integration firm, therefore mitigating many areas of project risk,” said Lemoine.
This process has demonstrated Matrix Technologies’ commitment to employing processes of the highest caliber to meet and exceed stakeholder needs. Matrix is classified as a top tier (Level One) company with CSIA and successfully demonstrates continuous improvement by scoring higher than the Level One benchmark set by CSIA.
