Waste Water Electrical & Instrumentation
Customer: Oil and Gas Customer
Project Type: Electrical, instrumentation and controls project
Project Scope: Matrix Technologies provided the electrical and instrumentation design of a new water treatment process at the customer site. The new water treatment process is powered from a new double-ended Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) Substation adjacent to their new MBR process area.
Matrix produced a complete power, instrumentation and controls installation drawing package for the new Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) 13.8 kV Substation. Matrix also created the electrical and instrumentation installation package required to install and commission the MBR process unit.
Matrix continuously coordinated with the customer, Substation Equipment Vendors, and other engineering firms to ensure that the schedule for the various phases of the work, including procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning were observed.
Matrix worked with the customer’s Project Manager, Maintenance, Operations, and Construction Managers on planning and executing all project activities to ensure the new water treatment process and the new Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) Substation were installed and operating with great efficiency.
Engineering Challenges: Coordination of multiple vendors and adhering to customer standards was very important, while meeting an aggressive installation schedule.
Project Outcome: Project was completed on time and on budget
