Project Type: Facility and electrical design project for a new MCC room

Project Scope: Matrix Technologies provided Engineering Services for the design of a two story MCC building located within their processing facility. The first floor of the building addition was designed as an electrical room while the second floor was designed to support controls and networking equipment. The new construction was approximately 18’x28’ and included access to the second floor via a new stairway.

HVAC design provided functionality to maintain room humidity and temperature. Electrical design was provided for grounding, lighting, and receptacles as well as the new power distribution equipment. Construction administrative services were provided to support construction activities which included contractor requests for information, shop drawing review and approval, project schedule updates, general coordination with contractors and as-built drawings.

Engineering Challenges: Working within an existing operational facility while not interrupting production.
