Project Type: PLC and HMI Software development for automating the dryer and integrating it into the overall line control system

Project Scope: Matrix Technologies programmed new FactoryTalk View HMI screens and modified existing HMI screens as needed to provide graphical representation of the equipment and instrumentation associated with the new filter dryer, as well as provide access to the new control and equipment module faceplates. Matrix configured and programmed new FTBatch phases and developed new recipes for CIP, SIP, solvent flush, and derouging process functions. Modifications were made to existing recipes to accommodate an option for selecting the new filter dryer.

Engineering Challenges: Coordination among several vendors and the end customer was required to ensure an efficient integration effort and smooth startup.

Products and Technologies Used: Rockwell Automation PLCs, FTView HMI

Project Outcome: System started up on time and on budget. Matrix provided extensive documentation for the system so that it could be maintained easily by customer staff.
