Inclusion

Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion

Providing our customers a Better Process for Success starts with building a diverse and inclusive work environment. Different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds allow us to provide our customers with the most creative and innovative solutions possible. We have designed our recruitment, development, and promotion processes to apply equally to all populations. When and where applicable, qualified minority and women-owned business enterprises will be used to supplement internal staffing resources.

Employees are expected to exhibit the highest level of respect for diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and preferences in the office as well as at client sites. Our Fundamentals (core values) contain many elements to set these behavioral expectations and we offer a variety of activities that help our teams feel included and respected. Some examples include annual training, opportunities for candid conversations, our Diversity Spotlight at each weekly employee meeting, employee interest groups, and targeted leadership development and mentoring.

Dave Blaida, the Matrix CEO signed the Diversity and Inclusion CEO Pledge along with over 2,000 other organizations across the US. CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ is the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace. This commitment is driven by a realization that addressing diversity and inclusion is not a competitive issue, but a societal issue that CEOs can play a critical role in addressing. As a unique collaborative of nearly 2,000 CEOs of the world’s leading companies and organizations, we have agreed to take action to cultivate workplace environments where diverse experiences and perspectives are welcomed and where employees feel comfortable and empowered to discuss diversity and inclusion. All the signatories of this commitment are leaders of their companies who agree to implement the pledge within their respective workplaces and to support other companies in doing the same.

Each signatory has agreed to the following actions:

  • Continue to cultivate workplaces that support open dialogue on complex, and sometimes difficult, conversations about diversity and inclusion.
  • Implement and expand unconscious bias education.
  • Share best known—and unsuccessful—actions.
  • Create and share strategic inclusion and diversity plans with senior management and employees.
