Dave Bishop, Matrix TechnologiesDave Bishop, President & CEO

Dave Bishop is one of the founders of Matrix Technologies and has been the company’s CEO and President since 2006. Dave leads the company’s executive management team and is responsible for assuring the continued growth of the organization and meeting the company’s long-term corporate objectives.

Dave is a member in a local Vistage organization, and serves as a member on an executive roundtable of similar firms. He also serves on a committee panel with Signature Bank in Toledo, OH.

Before founding Matrix, Dave was an engineer at other firms in the Toledo area. He has made many presentations at industry conferences and authored several articles in industry publications.

Dave is a registered member of the Instrument Society of America and Technical Society of Toledo. He has participated in many specialized training programs. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology – Electronics at the University of Toledo.

 

Dave Blaida, Matrix TechnologiesDave Blaida, PE, Executive Vice President

Dave Blaida joined Matrix Technologies in 1990 as an Associate Engineer in the factory automation department. He has held multiple positions within Matrix, including Engineer, Group Leader, Department Manager, and Director. Through all of these roles he has helped with development of engineering team members, customer relationships, and business practices within Matrix.

As Executive Vice President, he plays a leadership role in corporate management and strategic planning for the company He also is a member of the company’s board of directors.

Dave has extensive background in food and beverage manufacturing and operations, playing a primary role in developing many of the company’s key customers.

Dave has an extensive background in control and information system design and ERP integration. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Kansas. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and has participated in many specialized training programs.

 

Kevin Grohnke, Matrix TechnologiesKevin Grohnke, PE, Vice President, Regional Operations

Kevin Grohnke joined Matrix in 1986 as an Engineer in the Factory Automation department. He has held multiple positions within Matrix during his career including Group Leader, Department Manager, Project Manager, and Regional Manager.

In 1997, Kevin moved from the company’s Maumee headquarters to head the Indianapolis regional office. After successfully growing that location, he has been involved in developing other regional offices in Denver, Kansas City, Chicago, and Minneapolis. In his current role, he continues to maintain overall responsibility for these regional office locations.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio and has various specialized training throughout his career.

 

Charlie Sheets, Matrix TechnologiesCharlie Sheets, PE, Director, Industrial Systems Division

Charlie Sheets joined Matrix Technologies in 1984. He has over 30 years of industrial controls experience, applying computers, programmable controllers, and serial and network communications to solving industrial controls challenges.

As Director of the Industrial Systems Division, he is responsible for the growth and development of division personnel, establishing project methods and standards, project technical accuracy, project management, and customer relationships.

Charlie is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio. He has received extensive specialized training in Software Lifecycle Management, NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, Advanced Oracle for Developers, and Rockwell Automation ControlLogix and Drives.

He chaired the Computer Applications Committee of the Association for Iron and Steel Technology. He has presented at industry conferences and authored technical articles in industry publications and serves on a roundtable of control system integration businesses.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Toledo.

 

Bill Schuller, Matrix TechnologiesBill Schuller, PE, Vice President, Director, Engineering Division

Bill Schuller directs the management and growth of the company’s Engineering Division which encompasses all the engineering services Matrix provides. He began his career with Matrix in 1994 after spending 16 years in the petroleum industry.

Bill is responsible for the division’s performance, including personnel selection and development, planning and organization, quality, and customer relationships. He maintains a technical role by providing process engineering design services and project management on selected projects.

Bill is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio and the co-author of two U.S. patents. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University.

 

Tim Lemoine, Matrix TechnologiesTim Lemoine, PE, Associate Director, Engineering Division

Tim Lemoine is currently Associate Director of the Engineering Division, working closely with Bill Schuller on the planning and operation of the division. Most recently, Tim managed the Power, Electrical, and Instrumentation Department of Matrix and was responsible for the successful completion of turnkey multidiscipline and major single discipline projects. He began his career with Matrix in 1993.

Tim is a registered Professional Engineer in Michigan. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA at the University of Toledo.

 

Ron England, Matrix TechnologiesRon England, PE, PMP, Director, Project Management Division

Ron England is the Director of the company’s Project Management Division. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he is responsible for the successful completion of control system integration and multidiscipline engineering projects in several industries. He joined Matrix in 1996.

Ron is a registered Professional Engineer in Indiana. He is a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Technology and serves on the Project and Construction Management Operating Committee. He also has published professional papers and presented at industry conferences. Ron earned Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Wright State University.
